I'm not aware if BMW release it as a limited edition - I suspect they will make as many as they can sell. So limited production maybe... until the HP5?

Have you tried to buy a new one at the dealers.

Will they sell you a new one?

The BMW HP4 carbon or standard is a limited production global 2 year run from launch to 2014.

Mine was a July 2013 delivery. From what I can establish from other forums the total production number (based on the yoke stamped individual numbering) is in the region of 5.5k - 6k globally.

At the time it was expected that BMW would bring about 500 or so to the UK, I have no idea if that is true. There are about 440 HP4s registered in the UK at the moment. But as a number are used as track bikes that will not be the total number.

Two weeks ago at Alan Jeffries I was told that BMW are not taking new orders for HP4s as production ceased in July.

If you haven't already got yourself one I'd wait for the new model 2015 s1000rr.

I think HP4 means High Performance 4 cylinder, hence there was an HP2 based on the Boxer. The new HP4 will be an HP4 in much the same way an M5 is replaced by an M5.
