the Russian Taurus 2 x 2 both wheel drive motorcycle smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn_5dMHsCPE

The Taurus 2×2 was created for the Russian forests, inaccessible areas, insidious, where there are swamps and territories orography impossible: it is called Taurus 2×2 , is equipped with all-wheel drive 2 × 2 , is very light and very resistant to any terrain. It comes from a small farm not far from Moscow Soviet, given the need for a certain part of the people, he decided to create a motorcycle that went beyond the boundaries far more limited motorcycle … normal.

In a typical situation, this bike is transported disassembled to the place to explore …, all in convenient bags! In a few minutes, there are rumors about four, mounts, inflate low pressure tires (220 mm wide) as you do in the summer with the boat, and off you go. Obstacles? Ford? Go up to 100%? Zero problems, the weight of only 50 kg and traction on both wheels allow any territorial acrobatics.

In practice, to be able to move the two wheels simultaneously, each was mounted on a gear wheel, and both, through chain, are connected to an output pinion from the motor. The chassis is rigid, no suspension . Very simple and effective. Of course the 4-stroke single-cylinder engine, it is useless to talk of torque, power, etc. … although, on closer inspection, it is capable of bringing the Taurus 2×2 60 km / h with fuel consumption by the green economy, just 1.2 liters per hour . It also has a 3-speed transmission.

This Taurus 2×2 bike explorer who fears no danger, is available (in Russia) in two variants : the only off-road version and the one homologous for road use with complete electrical system and wheels quad, which reflects a slightly higher weight. E ‘for sale in kit to 35,000 rubles, which can be quantified in approximately 730 Euro . And the bike can also float …!

I like the gun carrier option on the Rokon.

The Rokonski weighs 30kg less though. As you can see in the Russian vid, someone actually picks it up with one hand. Not sure if the Rokon floats!!!
