Went to Brighton for the day today with the family. There were loads of mods/scooters there today. Just wondering if there was some sort of convention on today. There were loads of people wearing all the clobber and looked in their 50's. Gave us a good laugh. Good luck to em I say....

No idea but they put as much time/effort into their appearance as the scoots.

Brighton Burn up from the Ace Cafe 14th Sept so be another gathering down there then.

I had one try to start a fight with me as we were both sitting in heavy traffic (as there were about a hundred of the sad cases in a big line) on Embankment the other week. It's tragic. Looked like he'd have had a heart attack if he'd got off the bike.

Back in 1981 I was on my Fizzy in Blyth Northumberland (google it) when I came across a couple of dozen of the little fkers on their scooter.

To cut a long story short one of them flicked a cigarette at me which went through my open visor. Cue me jumping off and trying to get stuck into them. I ended up getting a bit of a good hiding.

I still give any of them (mods) the finger when I see one.

I can't help but think of Mods as the Goths of the bike world.

They seem nice enough, and you try and respect their unusual choice of dress and hobby, but deep down you know they're sad bds and wish they'd fk off forever.

Or is that just me?
