Leathers Repair
Discussion
Hello,
My Wolf 2 piece leathers were flood damaged. I've cleaned all of the mold off the leather but the linings are disintegrating.
Anyone know of a reliable place where I can have them re- lined?
I've googled etc and have found a few places but I'd rather use someone on a recommendation, not a guess.
Thanks in advance.

I'd inform my insurance company and get a new set myself.
Not sure I'd feel comfortable knowing that rot could have set in.
Hi, they were in an uninsured lock-up garage. Not sure I'd feel comfortable knowing that rot could have set in.
The leather is in good condition, just needed a bit of surface mold cleaning off, it's only the lining that has rotted and only in a few areas.
My initial thought was just to replace them but I am sure they are savable.
Re-lining seems to cost about £160 for both pieces. It's just a case of finding somewhere that will do a good job.
Thanks.

Just had some textile trousers repaired by Hideout leather in Essex – they did an awesome job and their day job is making made-to-measure leather suits so should be able to help you!
Hi, yes, their name has come up a few times. I've emailed them. ThanksEllerslie said:

Hi, yes, their name has come up a few times. I've emailed them. ThanksAfter 8 years and two crashes it's still going strong.
OP I see you're sorted, but just another +1 for Hill4leather, did an absolutely superb repair for me a while back, would definitely recommend.

Hi, I keep forgetting to post this but I would just like to say thanks to those who recommended hideout and the people at hideout also.
What an amazing job they've done. They contacted Wolf and got some internal labels from them so you cannot tell they have been repaired. They look brand new.
I am so impressed with the quality of work. If anyone else is looking to get any repair work done on their leathers then I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.
Thanks again for the helpful responses. I'd googled leathers repair a number of times and never came across hideout, so wouldn't have found them without helpful phers.

Did better than mine at about 3 hours old and one 50mph hairpin low side then! Bike repairs approx £100, Hideout suit write-off, approx £1300…..After 8 years and two crashes it's still going strong.
(Actually I must admit that I did get the suit repaired, by Hideout, but it always looked distinctly secondhand for evermore.)
