oh dear, its all went a bit st.
I decided to do a bit silver to see how it looks, it was too windy to be doing it and I couldn't really get an even coat, then the wind blew it out my hands hitting some neighbours hedge on the way home..
hehehehehehe comedy gold right there.

It doesn't look too bad mate... Why don't you try lacquer a test spot? You can see the finish difference. I really think you should try it seeing it's not the abomination we envisioned.
Aye putting a coat of lacquer on will make it look better. Well worth doing for a extra couple of quid.

if you are going to lacquer it spend some time rubbing it down beforehand with 400/600/800 grade wet and dry, it will make a massive difference to the finish and is something you can do indoors.

You just sand before painting just to give the paint a surface to stick to.

When you paint you end up with orange peel, you sand that down so the paint is flat before you apply the lacquer. The flatter the paint the better the look will be when its done.

Just depends on how good you want it to look.

With it being already so close to perfection I think he best not risk spoiling it.

It's all went to fk.

So whilst carrying it back it must have dribbled at one side so I thought I'd wipe it. I did and made it worse.

So I let it dry to sand it and it wasn't dry enough and it all gummed up.

I'll need to do some serious sanding tomorrow

MTB the dribbler biggrin

If its running then your putting it on to thick in one coat mate. More thinner coats is the way to.
