Well it's nearly done. Needs a few areas touched up and I still need to lacquer it but it's ok I guess. Some areas are ruined from the previous owners attempts but it looks ok in photos and that's all I wanted. Its not great but it will do.

It looks alright. If there are any little dodgy bits just stick a sticker over them!
It would look like a panini sticker album by the time I'm finished with it.

Remember the bumpy sectio, no, what do you mean your fed Up with this project.

Well I done some more spraying and that's the result.

Started to lacquer and it's turning out really nice. Not long now. Then a few tasteful stickers.

It's lacquered and all done. It's fking horrendous in sunlight, I'm not going to lie. The silver has came out well but the blue paint (I think because it was so cheap) is st.

I'm gonna need a lot of stickers.

It looks good in the photos but it's a bit like fat women on dating sites. They look good until you see them up close and then your like jesus.

At the moment it does feel like I'm riding a minger, I mean it'll do the now till something better comes along. But you wouldn't take it out in public.

After a season on track, crashing and various other calamities the old girl is looking a bit fked.

Its more tie wraps and stick tape than fairing.

I plan to repair with the fibre glass stuff and sand down it all properly with a fresh coat of paint.

can anyone recommend the kit I need for repairs and some sort of electric sander to get the lacquer off.

We know you are a tight ass, but seriously, if they are as bad as you say you will regret not buying new fibreglass fairings off ebay. The fibreglass repair kits are messy to say the least, add in time for sanding and fine filling....etc.....think of all the time you will save
If I went down that route they would be getting sprayed professionally. By the guy who did my helmet....

I didn't realise how cheap they were. They were much more 18 months ago.

New fairings in the same colour scheme I think with some company decals.

Chuck about £2000 in a pot as "advertising" from the business you can cover your trackdays from your gross then.
idea

I dunno what's worse id already thought of something similar.

If you're going to buy new fairings I'd recommend CRC ones. Bit more expensive but they fit really well.
I'll have a lookie

Hahahahaha. Not bloody likely, it's a tax fiddle for me to get my trackdays and potential races for next year from my gross instead of net.
You actually do this??

Yep. Season ticket is bought by the company and badged as "advertising". Ironically it helps with IR35 too as they like see spend on advertising as abort off proof that you're operating outside it.
How can it be advertising?
How much for a year?
