but even then, it's going to want to flip unless you're pulling away in sixth, which is about the only time I can imagine 270bhp being availabe to a rider
Except that like most bikes it'll produce maximum power at close to maximum revs so in 6th you'd need to be doing close to Vmax to feel the benefit....SS7

200+ MPH? Or will it still confirm to the agreement thats bikes that cannot go faster than 186mph (or whatever the speed that was agreed upon)? With that much power I'd expect it to hit well over 220mph unrestricted, if it has the gearing.
I'm hoping after 14 years its time to forget, or at least revise the gentlemens agreement. If hypercars are doing circa 260mph we want the bikes to stand half a chance in some of the high speed car v bike races! For reasons stated and the laws of physics, I doubt it will be much faster (if any) than the current crop of fast bikes, at least in measurable 0-60, 0-100 times ....you need another 6"+ in the swingarm and a wide rear tyre
so It will be about the 120-220mph time I guess ...
as usual, for road use, all a bit pointless and in the real world on roads, a better/more lunatic rider will leave you behind on a sporty 600cc
So best spend the cash on lessons if you really want to ride fast(er) or head to the drag strip on a purpose built drag bike
Saying that, I do love the utter pointlessness of all of Kawasakis willy extension machines and will be in the queue to experience it

Race only, road version will probably have them
It looks... NSFW.
I don't know why. It's so OTT that I love it. And that power output .
Game changer.
Game changer, really?It looks... NSFW.

I'm sat at the traffic lights on a bike weighing less than my trousers with 200bhp. I am going to feather the throttle as a pull away so the wheel only just comes off the ground, my arms don't dislocate at the shoulder and my eyeballs don't finish up stuck to the back of my skull, thinking I wonder how much of a game changer having another 100bhp is going to be?

That's the H2R though. Will be interesting to see the compromises made for the H2 and its price point. With that amount of technology and finish was it going to be any less?
Bargain compared to the Ducati Superleggara IMO
That's £25,000 with just 15 units coming Bargain compared to the Ducati Superleggara IMO
Oh sorry, were you talking about the H2? Are there pictures/details yet?

Why is it pointless just because you can't afford it? It's a cool thing, and I'm glad they're making it even though I'll never own one.
Still mega. Still want.
Who says I cant afford it? It would look lovely in my cardboard box...Still mega. Still want.
Limited numbers. Average joe wouldnt even be able to get hold of one.

I wonder what radical & exotic machines the other manufactures will come with to compete with this beast. Track days are going to become very interesting when the off-the-shelf big boys toy has more BHP then a MotoGP bike
