ZZR1400 makes more than 200hp with cans on and a remap and it is less stressed and is £11k cheaper.

How Kawasaki can justify £25k for a one litre bike scratchchin I don't get it either.
Ah but the ZZR1400 has 40% more capacity, so what happens when you use your £25K's worth of technology and bolt it onto 40% more capacity? Then you get truly bonkers and much closer to 300bhp. It's all about developing the tech' and thats' what you're paying for.

I didnt realise there was a "gentlemen's agreement" on power limits until now ...the Japs agreed no more than 200bhp ish at the wheel

So they release a 300bhp capable track only bike, and a 200bhp restricted road version, thats easily de-restricted (maybe?) smile

H2 front end looks pretty mean with the 3 LEDs (or whatever they are....)
MCN seems to use those small lights in lots of their mock ups.

If you look at the Kawasaki teaser shot, the front lights look to be LED strips in a 'L' shape, bit like some cars driving lights.

The agreement isn't on power it's on top speed at 300km/h (186mph) The limiter on the ZZR1400 is in the electronics of the speedo and 186 is like hitting a wall, it'll be pulling nice and firm then just stop. To remove the limiter easily there is a plug in that makes the speedo read low. The Hayabusa on the other hand feels like it's run out of legs anyway when it get there.

reads in MCN today there is a 200bhp agreement in addition to the 186mph ...maybe something we dont know about ?

I'm a Kawasaki fan but the road version H2 will not sound anything like that.

I suspect he has ordered one of each, look at the Mclaren P1, first person outside of Mclaren to drive one, turned out he had an order for that also.

st the bed, looked a bit of a handful when he first opened it up there. Interesting also that for such a high speed bike they've gone for a sort of semi-faired design. I wonder if the exhaust temps were melting panels, it probably gets ferociously hot.
