Seriously id love to see kiyo win but my money would go on shakey, he's so calm and the bike seems more reliable.

There's no way any rider has been sandbagging. If you think Shakey has then you're mad. He would've loved to have the psychological advantage over his rivals by smashing them in the last few rounds. In addition, a load of extra 2 points podium credits would've given him a virtually unassailable lead as long he finished Top 4 in the showdown races.

I wanna see Shakey win, he's had the most points so far and rode the best.

Maybe sandbagging was the wrong word. Anyway doesn't matter either way.

At the start of the season a lot of people myself included thought Shakey would walk it. I think it's great that it's not turned out like that. Bring on the weekend :-)

Really pleased to see Hopper finding some form again this season. Hopefully he'll keep improving and be a championship contender again next year.

My money's on Shakey for the championship but I'd love to see Kiyo take it.

I'll be very surprised if Tyco sign hopper for 2015.
His performance has been poor this season.

Not a fan of the system either, but TV audiences and trackside spectator numbers drop off considerably in the last few rounds of most race series if there is nothing left to play for. Maybe F1's double points for the last race is a better solution.

As for champ, I've tried over the years to become a Shakey fan but I've failed and I don't know why so Id like to see Kiyo win.

His dry pace has been getter better too, and on the old suzuki.

you cant polish a (gsxr) turd, but you can roll it around in (Ohlins & Tyco) Glitter

Main Season

Standard format of 25 points for a win, then 20, 16, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 are awarded for each of the races from the opening nine events.

The Showdown

From this point on, the top six riders in the championship standings (only) become the 'Title Fighters' for the final three events. Each Title Fighter begins The Showdown with 500 points, plus additional points for each podium position they obtained in the Main Season: 5 for a win, 3 for a second, and 1 for a third.

The standard points scoring format from the Main Season then continues for The Showdown, with all points scores from the final seven races counting

Because they changed it. Some do double points for the last round, which is different from other series. Fact is that every rider knows the rules going into the series so they play out a strategy accordingly. Byrne may have a large points lead but maybe others would've risked more instead of settling for second if it was a straight points count.

As said though, everyone knows the score come start of season.
