Chain adjusters?

How often do you really need to adjust your chain then? Knowing how far road bikes get between needing adjustments I'd be surprised if it was less than a couple of trackdays for track bikes.
Not very often and why would you need one? As you can already adjust the chain anywho why buy something that also adjust the chain?Seems to me a reason to buy something to replace the same thing. or am I wrong on that

Just like different levers or an exhaust can or a different screen they all do the same job but differentlySeems to me a reason to buy something to replace the same thing. or am I wrong on that
Damn I really like the idea of chain adjusters like these:

But can in no way justify them for my bike. I just like the technical geekery I think.

Love my Lightec although I really got them so I could use the decent paddock stand bobbin rather than the tiddly normal arrangement.
Might be the picture but that looks like a gap between the axle and the lightech chain adjuster?I'm the usual levers, cans, screen, tailtidy, etc. person but never bothered with chain adjusters as seem pointless.

And as BN says, once you loosen the axle nut, the adjustments can be made fore and aft by finger. also the marks are spot on side to side so it makes for accurate alignment when I use my wheel alignment tool as a comparison.

Quite often when you're changing gearing or wheels
I'd never thought of that side of it, cheers.I'll change my opinion to 'pointless bling for road bikes'.
Do they make changing the wheel itself any easier or harder?
