I would like to replace the manky brake lines on my Blackbird, but I don't want to delink it or loose the neat over mudguard link pipe. Can you buy exact like for like replacement hoses?
The only ones I've see run from the master cylinder to the brakes, and they look untidy IMO.

Bike Torque Racing, Somerset.

I've had two OE sets made up. One for ZX7R and one for my Gen 2 Hayabusa.

If you cant see it listed then phone up, they don't always list the OE layout because most buy the twin lines from master cylinder.

Good luck!

Thanks.
They list the bike. I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

Goodridge do a kit for the Blackbird with 10 lines in it!. Seems like an awful lot of brake lines for a bike.

They do indeed, slightly cheaper from JAWS blackbird parts

I junked my CBS with a delinking braided line kit from JAWS - just £103 vs £265

Yeah - I like the linked brakes though.
But I think I'll leave it...£265! Wow.
Thanks all.

Ah, I should really do this to my Blackbird at some point!

This is probably the time I should put my hand up and save I've never noticed the linked brakes in the year and a bit I've had it (and I don't dodder about). When I had the front brake pads out I checked that the middle piston would move when I used lots of rear brake, but I had to use LOTS to get the piston to move. Delinking time possibly...

For me it wasn't so much the front lever applying some rear brake but the rear pedal adding some front brake. There are situations where dragging the rear into tight corners while pushing on where it would want to stand the bike up as it was applying some front. Or situation like slow speed steep downhill in the wet or limited grip situations where adding any front brake would be the last thing you'd want to do.
I far prefer it delinked where I control the balance front to rear like on every other bike I've owned.

If you don't use the rear brake you'd probably never noticed this honda linked rear to front potential issue.

Twin line front set up is the way to go.
