POLITE - Hi-Vis Vest

Here's a thought.... (brought on by a few pints of 4.8 IPA)
Get along side the wearer of these vests and stare into their eyes......
........keep their speed......
.....don't drop eye contact......
........keep their speed............
............remain eye contact...........
........IMPORANT...........
.........keep their speed.........
......and remain eye contact..........
this should go on for at least a minute. Do not feel you are giving in to their request of being polite. More the thought that you are giving to them being noticed.....but a bit too much .....in a 'HERE'S JONNY' sort of way
What about looking where you are going ??? :-) sounds great other than that. Get along side the wearer of these vests and stare into their eyes......

The thing that bothers me about them (apart from the fact they look ste) is that when a motorist sees a bike with a Polite coat on and craps their pants and slows down, but then realises it was just a knobber pretending to be a copper, how are they then likely to treat other motorcyclists ?
They rile me almost as much as the people that wear head cams and antagonise motorists just to get a youtube video out of someone hurling abuse at them

Thing is, Poncharello was focusing so much on fooling cars out of his way in order to make three-figure progress, he failed to use his mirrors at any point, especially the bit where he cut from lane 3 to 1 without signalling or even glancing left.
Having a copper pull him over for speeding would have been the ultimate schadenfreude.Mr2Mike said:

Having a copper pull him over for speeding would have been the ultimate schadenfreude.I suspect he had fallen for his own bullst and thought that no one could possibly encroach on his road space, I mean he looks like a policeman and no one ever overtakes a copper, do they, so why bother even looking?...well, except that obtuse tt on a Triumph who not only spotted quite early on that he was a politeman not a policeman, but also understands that when travelling on a motorway one should keep to the left unless overtaking.
I'm not a biker (don't hate me - I just reckon I'm too bloody clumsy to stay upright on a bike ). I've seen plenty of these vest wearing plonkers, and I've got to say I've never been 'fooled' by one. By the time they've gone past, the POLITE wording is irrelevant anyway as you can't see it from the front. Besides, the Plod on bikes here in Essex all seem to wear full hi-viz jackets anyway.
Last time I saw one of theses vests, I had a thought - if the wording was changed to read

I reckon there wouldn't be half as much animosity towards these numpties. I think it's the use of the word POLITE that gets people's backs up. Gives the impression that the rider is a snotty, sanctimonious prat that thinks they know better than everyone else.
Awaits the flaming

As said above many times, the type of person who wears these is a first class bellend. We've got a couple here at work and surprise surprise they're in health and safety.
Glad to read that the majority of bikers think this way. There's a bloke who occasionally turns up at my local dressed as a Politeman - the bike, the outfit, everything. Utter cock. 'Couldn't get in the Police then?' is the normal comment.

Of course it is, it's the intention to deceive, however ineffective.Don't drive/ride like a throbber and you won't need to panic.
