Quite, thinly veiled but,,,.
So, that's bye bye friendly biker banter then. rolleyes
No lets keep it friendly I suppose all's fair in love and war - We're all entitled to our opinion so lets get back to topic.

I do sometimes struggle to see how people cannot respect Rossi for staying in the game and still beating younger rivals, as did Mike Hailwood in his comeback ride.....

At the end of the day bike racing is the only sport for me these days.......(Well bit of rugby thrown in the mix)!

I was GUTTED when Rossi binned it (Rossi fanboy and proud of the fact!) but I couldn't make out what happened... did Pedro brake early or Rossi balls up and brake to late? Either way, I thought the old lad was going well.... I admire Mr Rossi for his sheer love of the sport, he rides bikes for fun (as well as the desire to win). I hope he doesn't retire to early, but pray he doesn't retire to late - it's a fine line to go out at the top and I hope he does it. I love the way he's changed his riding style this year, that takes skill and commitment to do at any age, but moreso when you is an auld bugger!

However, I really rate a lot of the riders: Marquez is brilliant and a breath of fresh air and is great to watch, he has the youthful lack of fear that we all learn after a few (hundred?) offs, especially when they hurt! I know he's hurt himself and bounced back, but them young buggers do bounce well, don't they!

Pedro is someone I've never warmed to and I don't know why? He's a good rider, of that there can be little doubt, but he seems to lack the 'killer instinct' to battle it out and instead settles? He has some brilliant races though where he's buggered off and won, but never really seen him duke it out like the others...

Lorenzo is great. Well deserved win, he used his head (as he usually does) and rode brilliantly in very tricky conditions. I like Lorenzo loads (I'm sure he really cares how I feel about him, bet he spends nights worrying about how I think he's doing smile ) but I can't really get behind him until Rossi retires. Sad I know, but fanboys will be fanboys smile

I love the fact that some of the riders speak out/speak their minds, but they can only do that when they are winning! When things ain't going so great, they need to knuckle down and work with the team and definitely NOT upset the team they are riding for! I'm sure Crutchlow has got it in him to be higher up the field, but when you've upset every bugger in your team you aren't going to get the upgrades/support you need, and the more you whinge, the worse it's going to get! He had a good ride on Sunday, but, dare I say I feel he was a bit 'lucky' that so many others chucked it away?

Real edge of the seat all the way through kinda race. Utterly brilliant, many rolling the dice and coming up short, others showing amazing skill and racecraft.

Hats off to Espargaro , Cal and Jorge , firstly for finishing shiny side up and secondly for finishing on the podium.

Finally glad to see everyone surviving to fight another day. Bravery and brilliance at its very best.

You know it's a good race when it finishes and your wtf happened there, then watch it a second time to let it sink in.

Dani braked ridiculously early. You can see it from the helicopter shot that the gap between him and Jorge visibly opens up as he braked so early.

He has had a much better season than last year for sure, and its been nice seeing 3 other riders capale of pushing marquez instead of either Pedrosa or Lorenzo.

Question is, could he do it on a cold sunday at croft in october? hehe
