Just remember guys, that the teams CANNOT tell the riders when to come in, its written into the rules it has to be the riders decision.

As talented as he is, is he good enough to be making the step up straight to MotoGP though? Especially when you have the likes of Redding looking for a decent bike and Rabat, Kallio and Vinales in Moto2. I just don't think he possesses, at the moment, the outright technical ability and certainly not the right race brain to cope with the missiles that are the big bikes.
The Miller deal is puzzling. There are very few riders who have missed out the Moto2/250 stage, unless they've come from Superbikes and are used to big, powerful machines. Miller has taken three years to get on the podium in Moto3 and I just don't really see him as a prodigy.

Good MotoGP today. Very impressive rides from Crutchlow and Smith. Smith seemed to lose out on pace in the wet at the end a little, but if he'd stayed with Cal he could've grabbed a podium finish from 20th after lap 1 - that would've been quite a story.

You could brief the riders on various strategies such as how much time you'd loose coming in early compared to later.

At least the riders could mull over the odds of coming in early/late before making a choice.

Watching it on my ipad..... How funny after dani and Marc didn't come in yet again, the commentator said..."these are the very best riders in the world, no one is better placed to make a judgment on conditions and will know when a slick can no longer be used" hehe:

Oops there goes Dovi......Oops there goes Dani........Oops there goes Marques

Yep.

Quite astonished to hear them say that was Espargaro's SECOND podium in GPs across all three classes!! He's a good rider (personally I don't rate him THAT much) but not as good as some on here would make out.

So many variables though, such as how wet, what part of the circuit, how many laps left etc it really is just to the riders discretion.

They fked up but doesn't change anything for them as the title is theirs pretty much.

.
He was on the God awful Honda for he last two years. What he did on that bike last year was miraculous. He was pretty much always the top Honda throughout the season. To mark him down because he didn't manage to get it on the rostrum seems a tad harsh.

Valentino Rossi has suffered a concussion as a result of his big accident during the MotoGP race at Aragon.

Yamaha rider Rossi crashed heavily on lap four of the race after losing control of his bike at Turn 8.

He was stretchered off and taken to the medical centre and later to a local hospital for a CT scan, although the team reported he had not suffered any serious injuries.

Yamaha said Rossi suffered a concussion with a suspected loss of consciousness, but the CT scan ruled out any bleeding in the brain.

He will be under observation in the coming hours, but the team said there are no reasons for concern.

The next race takes place in Japan on October 12.

Big mistake from pedrosa in my opinion. He should have come whilst he was in second, thus forcing Marquez to do at least another lap on slicks. Easy to say afterwards I know but it was unlikely he'd beat MM if they stayed out. He should've gambled like Lorenzo did.

I know it's rider choice when to pit but you'd think with so much at stake they would put more work into these strategies beforehand.

Good to hear Rossi is ok.

Pleased for Jorge, after all the internal ste he has put up with from VR's side he has shown he really is the man to take it to Marquez long term.

Outstanding ride by Aleix.

Amazing ride by Crutchlow, his dry pace had him up with the group with Dovi too, and on the old, shonky gp14....the oldest ducati on the grid now! barbera has a gp14.2 with true open software, Yonny has a gp14 with all the current updates...

Of course, Cal is washed up, useless, over rated and arrogant according to the majority on here.

So where's he been the rest of the season then?

Hector is on a GP14. Probably an ex-Iannone or Dovi bike.

do we really have to go through this?

electronics failures, 2 engines, technical fkups, oh and an injury.

In his own words, its the first time all year he has felt fully fit and found a decent base setting.

I'm with FWD on this one. Everything I've seen and heard suggests he has been given one (and only one) of Iannone or Dovi's bikes. If they had an extra 14.2 why wouldn't they give Dovi or Iannone two of them insad of just one each? And if they were going to give it to anyone else, why give just one to Barbera so that his second bike is still the pneumatic valve Kwak? I appreciate that Gigi may have said otherwise, but the facts and logic just don't stack up.
