Do I want it? Hell yeah.
Do I need it? Na, not even close!
And to be honest, anything with that amount of power needs to come with ALL of the gizmos, gadgets and features it can. Anti-wheelie, ABS, TC etc etc. The daft thing is that its largely irrelevant in the way that the current crop of super cars are irrelevant. Too fast for the road, too expensive for the track and more of a pub bragging tool than anything else. Thats fine and I am not complaining, but given the budget, I would have one.

For me it would be pointless. I so rarely use the 170bhp I already have.
What I would like is a 125ftlb flat torque curve (line?)
That'll be a 103ci Harley with a stage 1 and a cam then...What I would like is a 125ftlb flat torque curve (line?)
Unfortunately it is attached to a Rocket 3.
No, not interested anymore. I've had powerful bikes and found them to be boring on the road. Cruising along you're nowhere near peak torque so throttle response is poor. To be anywhere near peak torque means you're going very fast, which is more frightening than fun IMO. I want to be able to thrash the engine without risking going into orbit!
100bhp is more than enough for me. I don't place any limit on torque though. I'm looking for a buell S1 at the moment

I'd like to try one, like this new Kawasaki H2R, but I wouldn't want to own one, mainly because my riding far from warrants needing 300bhp. I couldn't even come close being able to use a fraction the power.
Part of the fun of riding my 600 (with a measly 100bhp) is that I can use a lot of the revs, and feel like I'm giving the bike a bit of stick, even when I know a more capable rider could get way, way more out of it than me. I'd barely be able to tickle a 300bhp bike, but I wouldn't say no to a ride, just open the throttle a few times, cack myself and get off.

The beauty of the SC is it should deliver far more torque through the rev range, so though you won't be at peak torque there will still be plenty.100bhp is more than enough for me. I don't place any limit on torque though. I'm looking for a buell S1 at the moment
Its worth reading Kevin Cameron's article

It seems the SC will operate at 2 speeds for two rev ranges.

Not really.
200hp & 155kg is enough for me.
Fair play for having a crack at making something bonkers though - might help throw a bit of a halo across the next ZX10r etc.

Custard test anyone

I was going to ask the same thing. The new BMW 1000rr has "only" 199 BHP and is no ware close to 155kg even without fuel and liquids
Custard test anyone
A quick check of his profile would suggest that it's a 1199 Superleggera. The 155kg appears to be a dry weight, but that's still insane! I bet my motocross bike with a thick coating of mud doesn't weight much less than that. Pictures please!Custard test anyone

I look forward to the day that bikes are GPS limited, just bikes mind, car drivers are fine, but I'd love to see the power rangers stuck at speed limits.
