New Ducati Scrambler
Discussion
Speaking as a total non-Ducatista, I really like it. I think it hits current trends, styles, requirements bang on the head, and with the variants available and (presumably) forthcoming customisation options, it should sell in spades. Personally my only issue is that the bars look a bit too high - presumably easily rectified.

I have no self restraint or patience. Just ordered one. (Despite being hugely put off by the terrible marketing video)
Will make a good companion to my '82 BMW R100 and F800GS.
Went for this version. Mmmmm Termis

I think Ducati have hit the nail bang on the head with this one. Ok, so it'll be about as adept at scrambling as a shopping trolley, but like superbikes and Adv bikes, how many actually get used as intended???

I like it till I saw where the rear spring is. FFS, it's stuck out the side like some sort of after thought. If you want to make a retro scrambler how hard is it to fit a proper twin shock rear end? They'd have to break the habit of not supplying a complete bike by fitting both sides of the swingarm though
It's got both sides - but the still fitted the shock off centre? Looks odd but I like it. I didn't want one until I saw this video. It made me realise just how cool even I could be if I owned one

Looking again, I have to say that the more I look at this the more I want one. Or at least to try one. The only Ducs I have ridden were of the 99* era and I have to say that at the time, I couldn't wait to get back on my IL4.
I haven't seen a recent bike come out that I've really wanted for a very long time (I think the KTM 990SM-T was the last one to push my buttons). I thought I was all done with modern/new bikes - having bought and enjoyed brand new bikes in the past, I still have 5 bikes but the newest is my 2004 WR450 and the next two after that are both 1996!
Hmm, where's my nearest Duc dealer….
