Ive dropped HARRIS an email but thought would ask on here.

Do you fit these with the original factory seal? Mine just won't fit properly using the seal and leaves a 1mm gap if I install the cap without the seal which looks crap... Not to mention will let water in...

Any ideas?

Stop being a bolt on tart and use the standard one, it keeps petrol in and water out.

Its a fuel cap ffs, your shiney billet (billet=lump of metal) one will look pretty shabby once you've dropped it on the floor a few times hehe

I've been contemplating getting one of these too.

I'm happy with the looks of the standard one, but its seized up on me a couple of times now, even after I fully disassembled and oiled up the mechanism.

You don't need a new fuel cap, just a handy can of WD40 and a portable Biker's Nemesis.

Basicly foreplay to open the hole a touch before slipping it in then?

Yeah, it was difficult to spread hence it wouldn't sit properly ... Easing open the holes gave it the room it needed ...

Very true. I was lucky that worked as I've tried it before and its needed all night to soak. I don't want to be in that position when I'm miles from home
