The better half managed to book a bike crossing for the IOM TT however we haven't any accommodation - went this year to the Manx classic and would prefer to stay near to Douglas. Any recommendations appreciated, or may swap crossing to a vehicle if anyone interested so I could take the camper over?

We have done it the other way around and booked camping at Douglas RUFC (which still has spaces) but we are still looking for a ferry ticket

You will struggle to get a hotel booking, best bet is homestay if you don't like camping. Our tourist information should have a list of homestays.

Thanks for responses, have taken a look at homestays however appears virtually booked up.

Any other ideas greatfully received alternatively do spaces often become available on the ferry come February when prices are announced?

Take a motor home (and genny) over and find a layby?

That would not work over here, you would be moved on. Join TT Bay on Facebook and put on an ad,also check out Manxads.com and manx.net classifieds. You can get ferry crossings when the balances due and not paid the spaces are put back up for sale but you have to get them that day as they go very quickly.
