As title really, after 4 years without a bike, I recently purchased a Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird.
I went out for my first ride back on Monday feeling a little apprehensive, and a tad rusty, but..it all came back to me within a few miles. I must admit the CBR helped, such a great handling, balanced bike.

I was sure I would not change anything, I thought it sounded great as standard. I have now changed that thought.
I have now ordered some Delkevic 350mm stainless oval slip-on cans, x2. I have never heard of these before, but for the money, they look..and sound quite good. Anyone else used them? I'm not chasing more power, but they come with removable baffles, so I will try them before automatically removing. I'm not after screaming loud exhausts, I just want something a little deeper, and a bit more bark.

Glad you enjoyed your ride!

Love the bike, looks lovely in that colour. Heard nothing but good about the Blackbirds.

Lovely bike mate...I have a swt of Delkevics on my Busa, for the money, I think they are great value, appear to be well made, I never fitted the baffle but even without, they are not too loud.

Great looking bike pal, be good to know how you get on with the Delkevic's as I'm looking at one to replace the ugly stock exhaust on the T'cat.

Thanks chaps, the Blackbird has been a great way to return to biking, I'm more than happy. smile
The reg plate is also quite amusing, it's a very polite motorbike..and likes to say goodbye as it passes slower traffic. wink

The Delkevic exhausts are being delivered tomorrow. It sounds like they should be good value then? They are certainly a lot lighter than the oe pipes on the Blackbird!

The Delkevic exhaust's arrived today, and very nice they look too.
I think the major difference is going to be the weight.. these are so light compared to the standard cans on the Blackbird!

Hopefully I will get time to fit them over the weekend.

I bought a delkevic for my SV650 a few years back, Was amazed how good the build quality was for the money, great value for money.

And sounded as good as the big names!
