For a minute there I thought you had a classic bike convert but on the other hand who needs double figure horse power anyway hehe
Haha! A friend keeps banging on about getting a Royal Enfield. Apparently he rode one once and it was great!

Good advice man, thanks... Only I've never actually been for a dealer test ride (or car drive for that matter) before! frown I've only ridden bikes that either belonged to me or friends and family.

Better go have a word down at the Blade dealerships in Swindon. They have licensed dealers that sell everything (almost) there, including Guzzi, Triumph and even Indian!
Ooh that means you're not too far from me (relatively).

I'll meet you and make sure you spend the cash wisely wink

When it's done can I have go on whichever bike(s) you buy? biggrin

Looking at your list OP, don't forget GSX1400s. Loads about, much like the XJR you enjoyed & the CB1300 to ride. Mine ticked over 96k t'other week so they go on forever even when left outside covered in salt for much of their life.

Blue & white, blue, red & black, black & grey I think is the whole range. What you can get varies by year, I can't remember exactly when each colour started. Only big changes if your looking at one is K5 onwards they got an alarm, better rear shocks (the rears can leak when adjusted on earlier bikes) revised centre stand (looks the same but different mounts so affects which exhausts fit with it still on). Plus K5 onwards went to single exhaust and different forks (the adjusters moved places as the compression adjuster tends to seize on the early ones). They all ride much the same though, so it's down to preference in colours really.

We've got three K2s so have got to know most things about them over the years. I wouldn't change my for 'owt, it's just too damn practical as an everyday bike & nothing important seems to wear out.

ETA: Late ones have more power from the factory if you believe Suzuki, but oddly early ones seem quicker with the same mods.... My K2 is 100bhp standard & 124bhp (97lb/ft) with an Akrapovic & PC3. A mates K7 with the same mods is 105bhp standard & 117bhp tweaked.
