You can't leave anything up there, can you? Two minutes with the doors open, and some bu99er has nicked your seat and fairings!

Should be good. I might be getting one myself if I land on my feet job wise when coming back from traveling although it might be an earlier 3 spoke wheeled one.

Not sure I'd want one with ABS for track work.......

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you got ripped off. That's only half a CBR.

It sounds ace, better than an old knackered rattly R1 anyway.

Congrats BN!

Are you going to bypass the ABS? It's a tad complicated...

John, if you do anything, please please dont buy a Dynojet QS for it, they destroy blade boxes, get a HM shifter, if not a generation 1 bazzaz setup isnt bad (if you get the bazzaz fuelling module too its v v good)

Everyone is getting new bikes..jealous..I think i read in PB mag that John McGuiness really rated the ABS on track too..its obvioulsy come a long way on bikes since the 80s.

Dont let fiddling around with this see the RD125LC battle/rivalry be put on the back burner thou..biggrin

I am going to leave it Pete, the previous owner has 500 GP experience and suggested I leave it as it is.

He has just fitted some EBC HH pads but also suggested that Carbon Lorraine pads work better with the setup.

He reckons that its mid blowing on track in the wet. (not that there's any chance of me riding in the wet)
Well executed, but there have been quite a lot of problems with it. I believe there are 14 different bleed points and issues where it can come back to the bar without warning. Honda quote 3 hours to bleed the system! The pump assembly is a £1400 part too and have a habit of going due to heat build up where they are located. Put me off buying an ABS'ed blade, but I guess until it goes wrong, no problem leaving it on for track work.

Wow!
And I thought the mechanical/hydraulic Double combined brakes that used to be on my blackbird was vastly overcomplicated and difficult to bleed prior to simplying and junking the lot.

BN,

If you're considering the Nemesis TC system then get the QS that goes with it. Has fully adjustable cut times and ramp times and an do cut/retard or cut & retard. It also permits up shifts while leant over so that the tcs sees the cut a x doesn't intervene whereas a separate qs will not be integrated and trigger the tcs.

In all seriousness, enjoy the new track bike, bet it will be a wicked bit of kit when you've got it sorted smile

Christ that ABS system sounds complex and costly - not heard about that before. Still, I'd rather have ABS than not personally, and will be wanting it on my next bike.
