very nice stubby - had a few racefits over the years, but that one looks the business ! now I am old and find exhausts all a bit too loud. lets have a pointless pic of my old one..... was a great bike - I had no intention of selling it - but then the mrs left me alone for a few hours near a bmw garage so it got chopped in for ze German.....

I loved it at the time.... had one of the underbelly ones for a K7 gsxr - made it sound like a spitfire. but that was 7 years ago or so, when my "cape of invulnerability" still existed.

Personally, I think the low-slung style exhausts look better on this shape 'blade.

I'm looking at Yoshi R77's and stubby Akras (dark/carbon look)

Apparently the R77's need the baffles repacking every 5000 miles! (sod that)

I have zero experience with exhausts on these, but the 1000rr forum seems to think most exhausts will be fine if you're running standard air filter.

Seriously, AVIOD the Taylormade at all costs. Even if you find one cheapo.
They are made from recycled kak steel, and will rust as soon as it's out the box. I've seen Lancia's that rusted slower....
The fitment is shyte and the performance is woeful. I sold mine to a muggings who loved it, and he sold it on 3 weeks after that.
Looking at the quality and engineering, you'd struggle to believe the Septics ever actually went to the moon. Horrible horrible horrible!

I can't see how though... as I've been viewing the workshop manual... there is a flapper valve inside the exhaust. So removing that without remapping is going to mean big flat spots like Craig says... I'm not for doing the job half assed... if it needs a PC5 and custom mapping then it will get it.

But the insurance company has just royally violated me for swapping the bikes on my policy... so its going to have to wait.

This is what i've heard. Trackelectronics flash many a bike, but they told me they have too many problems with 08 onwards blades frying their ecu's. They recommend a PC or HRC ecu (which is the better option for a trackbike)...

The blade will certainly benefit from a PC with a bespoke map. I like my bikes to have a brilliant throttle response...

Already read up on that ... but cheers fella

For now the standard system is staying on which doesn't sound too bad.

I'm going to clean it, polish it, ACF50 it, ventureshield it and have the suspension setup this week then just ride it!

My R77 was put on the bike at the 600 mile service. Only done 8k since but no re packing and passed cadwell noise test weekend at 102,104db with no baffle in

So not need to repack the baffles and never heard this before

Funny thing is, the standard pipe I think looks really good, definitely works with the bikes design.
But if you must, as Lincsblokey said, Akra is very good, as is Arrow but can't comment on pipeworkx
For fuelling, maybe have a look at a RapidBike module rather than PCV. Can use the bikes original Lambda for autotune, can do ignition as well as well as Quckshifter etc. Very good bit of kit
