Did anyone have a look over the new naked Suzuki GSXS1000?

Thoughts, opinions, pics?

Thinking of changing my GSXR for one.
You know, I don't even think I went to the Suzuki stand.

I saw it right at the end of the day while speaking to a mate on the BMW stand. I liked it when i read about it on MCN so nipped over and i really liked it. I'm sure it could be a great bike with the engine taken from a K5 however slightly lower power. i suspect it could be a great motor for the road. Some bits were pre production and in places the looked a bit cheap.

The guy said it was just doing the shows and not in final spec.

It was one of the better bits on the Suzuki stand, the range just looks old and desperate for a real shake up is required. The SV650 was still on the stand next to its replacement, says it all really.

Yeah it looks like retro modern is the theme for the next couple of years. So many manufacturers pushing the look and trying to sell a lifestyle.

I picked up a textile jacket for the winter commute. Whilst all the new bikes were lovely,I found myself concerned at the lack of younger people at the show, and saddened at the price of what is now an 'affordable' bike. Prices have risen much quicker than wages these last 10 years, its not the disposable income toy it once was.
I took a 10 year old and saw plenty of young men in their 20s

To be fair, I was definitely in the minority with a full head of hair and not a single grey one at that on the BMW stand!!

Tsk, no wonder! Even the 10 year old was shocked that the full dress K1600GT was £27,500!

How the fk did Honda have a huge stage and some tt banging a drum for 15 minutes, yet Kawasaki had a gazebo at ground level that only the first 5 people could get a view of the HR2 on the dyno?

Still can't believe how fking awesome it sounded.
