I'm going on the last Sunday, so far my shopping list includes.

New gloves
boots
a lid
rear sets for the track bike
a quickshifter maybe
various tins of lube and stuff
brake pads
some hoodies

probably more will come up. Do they take credit card? is there fees for using it? or do you get better for "cash".

My plan, being Scottish, is to write down the list of what I need, have the various brands and types with a price that I can get online then go hunting.

I was fking awesome at haggling in Turkey in the markets, I could actually get them to swear at me as I left or try to steal my change when giving it back to me. That's when you know your good. I might need to try it again although I hate haggling.

if its cheaper than the internet great, if not ill buy on the internet like I always do.
On the LAST Sunday? when there won't be any popular items/sizes left!? you'll end up with some 90s looking crap that doesn't fit

oh cock, I thought it would be bargains galore.

I have no idea what to expect, I've only ever been to the Scottish bike show and that was st. 2 or 3 gear stalls I thought his would be epic.

There are a LOT of retail stalls, however going on the last day is not the way to get a "bargain" unless you are an odd size/shape.

The well run stalls will have runners restocking them during the show, although I can't see that many will have common sizes or popular items left at show price on the LAST day.

Good luck.

Even if you don't bag a bargain you will enjoy the show.

Erm.. isn't it indoors? tongue out
iirc there are changing rooms so you may get wet, but it'll be warm and dry once you're in. I think there's even airing cupboards? For a fee ofcourse.

Despite the weather forecast, I did the 110 mile trip up the M40 in the mist and pissing rain to see the show. I enjoyed seeing all the bikes on display although the clothing stands were a disappointment. First day of the show and many of the retailers only had fat arse sizes in stock. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! I came away empty handed despite being prepared to spend a good few hundred on some new gear. The signage for bike parking and getting into the show was pretty bad. I spotted many others (like me) completely confused as to where to go. Got there eventually though.

I'm off on Thursday. Its a decent day out if you make it that. If you go with the sole intention of getting something cheaper then unless you're buying several items then you will not get the entry fee back. I like to browse, try out if I can get in early, ogle at the beautiful ladies on display and have a few beers.
