I find myself looking more and more at Dnepr (like a Ural) motorbikes with sidecars. One of the lads I work with offshore likes near Prague and they're available cheaply.
We've been discussing a 2000 mile trip to ride one home! Mid 70s Ukrainian motorbikes will be reliable won't they?
40ish bhp, based on a 1938 BMW. Top speed is around 70.

As for understand it, top speed is practically closer to 50ish. Just remember the chair is on the 'wrong' side for uk (although still legal if before a certain year I think.

I want one too - the 2wd one with a paintball converted machine gun on the front of the sidecar please smile
Hey I didn't say it was a good idea! It'd be an adventure. Kind of. I really don't know what the appeal is...

The chair on the wrong side is ok for pre 81 bikes.

Is it ok to take lots of tools on a plane?

Good luck ever finding one for sale though, I've been looking at the market for over a year now and can only remember one being for sale (for £2995 IIRC, In Preston). I gather most of them have had the engines nicked for cafe racer type projects.

Mondial Piega. Anyone seen one on the road?
Yep, I've got one....
you lucky bugger. I see you're in South Staffs, anywhere near Cannock?
Pretty close!!
I'm moving there before next summer, probably Cheslyn Hay/Great Wyrley way...I'd love to see it in action. Ride out next summer, maybe?
No problem, I'm always up for a rideout👍

Obsess about these for a few reasons. I've never even seen one in the flesh, love GSXR's, and love oil/air cooled motors especially the sacs ones.

I've always wanted a VFR800. I was looking through a Bike Trader mag at work a couple of years ago and out of everything for sale in there, it was the VFR800 that caught my eye. A mate of mine is thinking of swapping his CBF600 in for one. I think he should go for it!

VFRs are lovely. I like the 750 with the split NACA duct.

True, I've been looking at them for a while and only ever seen tatty ones, or ones with that Tyga fairing kit which makes it look like an NSR125...

Suppose I'd settle for the 400 instead smile

Really? I saw an absolutely mint one on ebay a few weeks ago at 3 or 4 grand. The thing really was immaculate.

I'd say R1 wise the 07/08 is the best looking.
Agreed. Nearly bought one... But fancied a change.

I should be riding one of these tomorrow, if the weather isn't dire

I'm quite looking forward to it. 1.7L air cooled boomer.

Just had a look at the forecast, non-stop rain. fk.

Sat on it at the show and didn't want to get off. First time since I sat on the RR that a bike has just felt 'right'... Ended up costing me last time hehe
