Yes. Can't say I'm a fan, it's a sensibly shaped HD but they've not taken the opportunity to fit a sensible power plant
So, speaking of Buell, I had a look at the EBRs at the show, some interesting design features, the big fans, the regulator being visible through the screen . The bikes look as if they're built with no care for aesthetics, function over form, which almost looks good in a "because race bike" way.

I bought one in the summer. It's a fantastic bike. I don't think i've ever taken it out without someone stopping to chat about it. No, they didn't. I had one and it was so bad as to make it perfectly clear why HD pulled the plug on them. Speak with Maz who is the UK's Buell expert and begin to understand just how poor they are.
my one had the welding on the swing arm come apart. No real biggy except that's the oil tank. Was great fun riding with engine oil puking onto the road 6 inches in front of the rear wheels contact patch!
Great bikes to ride, but need re-commissioning with decent components and bearings.
Buy a Buell XB and you're basically wiping your arse with your money.....

You were obviously unlucky. I've read up on the XB and chatted with plenty of owners and the general feel is that the later XB's were built properly and proved reliable. I've never heard of swing arms cracking as a common fault, though they did re design them at some point. You can be unlucky with any bike, just read reviews on BMW's. If you believed the reviews nobody would buy them.
I'm not saying your talking rubbish. And I've heard of this MAZ chap as being upthere with the most knowledgeable. But you hear the same about any manufacturer. I would have thought the Buells are probably less reliable than the jap bikes, But I doubt anyone bought one expecting them to be. If you were to compare with Ducati/mv I bet there's little in it.

Honda MT50. There's one for sale that's the EXACT colour scheme as the one i had when i was about 12 yrs old in the early 90s.

I remember the christmas when i got it. Dad on the back doing the throttle and gears. Me sitting almost on the tank. Then he got me doing the clutch....then the gears....then he jumped off the back and left me to it.

I ran that around our field and along the 1 mile dirt track next to the house for years. Pocket money went on a gallon of petrol.

I found the Haynes manual for it in the loft amongst some other toys from my youth. This one is in really immaculate condition.

Seriously considering buying it and storing it for my lads to use once they're old enough, plus some fun for me in the meantime.

The missus would not be amused though....and i'm skint right now.

Im very pleased with mine. Can happily recommend.
Mine is a cat C 1999 with somewhere around 40000 miles on it (reads 26000 but there is definately something dodgy in the paperwork)
I bought on condition. The bike looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. Testimony to their reputation.

400 Burgman since I found out that the DSA have allowed it to on to the approved A2 test list in spite of them being 10cc below the minimum capacity for the test.

I think they realised not allowing on the bike that on its own that has a 20% market share of the european maxi scooter market was plain daft.

Do Not Go There !!!

As a beginners bike they are bloody awful. The position is too extreme for someone with little or no experience, the steering is heavy, the seat is hard, you can't get rear sprockets for them off the shelf.......and that's just off the top of my head
