The obsession for the past couple of weeks has been 2002 shape R6's and K2/3 GSXR 600's... I have got quotes for both as just passed with a restricted licence and it is cheap enough.. and you can pick either one up for a decent price. And they both just look amazing!

Sounds good but can you actually restrict one of these on the new rules? They produce over 100bhp right?

I'd be inclined to agree with tom, I think it's only the older gsxr 600s you can restrict, haven't looked into it though.

I'm looking at doing my A2 this year as well, my choice bike after that would be one of these, and it would have to have termis cloud9

Aprilia Tuono Factory - Ohlins, brembos, dripping in carbon, huge v-twin torque, and can be picked up for about 5 grand. I need to scratch the italian v-twin itch at some point, can see me picking up one of these as a summer/weekend bike.

I'm sure there's a good reason I shouldn't get one as my first non-125cc bike, but damn I want one...

Lately I've been obsessing about my own bike - just wish the weather would get warmer and drier, and the roads would clear up. Soon, my pretty...

Yep, love that, a 675 is on my list to own in the next two or three years.

Do Not Go There !!!

As a beginners bike they are bloody awful. The position is too extreme for someone with little or no experience, the steering is heavy, the seat is hard, you can't get rear sprockets for them off the shelf.......and that's just off the top of my head
I've only ever seen one, and it was being push started...
Mitzy had one as her first bike. They look nice for a 125, but that is where it ends...
Good if you want to practise home mechanics, though.
I'm not 100%, but I think the engine is a Suzuki. Mitzy's was actually quite reliable
That's blown it. I was thinking one of these sounds ideal for Liam!

After obsessing about numerous bikes over the last couple of months and combined with an unexpected day off I took a ride on my first super sports bike. Deposits paid, delivery due next weekend. Only an early Daytona 600 but will keep me occupied for this summer.

Miss this so much.... Popping on the overrun through that ridiculous exhaust, single swingarm, perfect riding position, worrying about scraping the cylinder heads.

How could you part with it. God i would love one of those in my garage, keeper forever for me. A truly special motorcycle.

My panties have been tickled by these of late. I'm planning on sitting my CBT and possibly my A2 license At the end of February, money allowing.

So pretty! Also it has 77 hp so It could be restricted and legal for me without any issues. biggrin

I have ridden one of these a few times,it was the restricted model too.People complain about the FI being a bit rubbish but I found it fine and it was the first bike I rode without carbs.Pretty good at everything but not exciting enough for me though!

I love that and at the moment some of the low milage ones are great value for money.

Wouldn't say obsessing, but I don't gel with the Buell XB9s and really enjoy riding the stop-gap r1100rt which should have long been sold, so thinking of buying this barge:

It just doesn't seam to suit my age, being in the mid twenties
