Looks like fun and there's one in at M&S if you haven't seen. Bet they'd give you a go.smile
I might have to drop by and have a look, see if I can wangle a test ride on it. I wish I was in a position to buy, I love my SRAD but I could easily see myself punting it for a farty old Buell - they don't get much further apart as far as design philosophies in a performance bike go, but variety is the spice of life! I'd probably kick myself when it wouldn't start / bits fell off / it drops it oil on the back tyre etc.

Sorry for not getting back to you to reorganise another run out, since you last texted me I've only been on a few bigger runs that have been last minute spontaneous deals, otherwise I've only been using the bike for errands. Come next year and the good weather we'll finally tick the box for a successful run!

That's a great shout.

I love endurance bikes/reps. If I had the time, money and skill thats what I'd be riding. Unfortunately I posess none of these things!

I've currently got "Ducati Scrambler" fever. My man-thinking is naked (slower), low cost, low depreciation and Termig exhausts. The hipster image is going against it, though.

Honda SP V twin motor, wrapped up in an Italian frame, with carbon bodywork. It's mega light, has no rear subframe, and the attention to detail is very Bimota like.

Ever since Y2Blade posted pics of his mate's bike, that. And I will obsess about it until I have a Norton in my garage.

Endurance RC45?, wow that thing looks good!!.

I'm currently thinking about a new bike for next year and it's going to be between a new R1 and a new RSV4, if the R1 is going to be as expensive as rumoured then I'm more likely to go for another Aprilia, although an Ohlins shod one this time.

biggrin Glad I could help! I like XR400's but they might be a bit underpowered for you if you're used to more grunt http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-XR400R-DEPOSIT-NOW...

Today's obsession is one of these

Who's the lucky bugger that picked a mint one up a few weeks back? Think it was one of the northerners..

No dice on the Buell test ride, the salesman wasn't sure if it had an MOT, and it wasn't taxed. He did offer to let me take it for a spin if he could find a current MOT cert, but I'd be on the hook for getting caught without tax if I went out.

What a bike though, I absolutely loved it the minute I saw it. A few things were not so great, the switch gear is dire, it had handguards and heated grips I'd rather do without, but the bike in general looked and felt great even just to sit on. It felt higher and shorter than my GSX-R, I suppose that's Buell's mass-centralisation design at work. I really, really want an older Buell now.

They are a nice dream but they just don't work on the road, or off it to be honest, too low geared, too vibey, plus they try and kill you all the time, good in theory, crap in reality.
