biggrin Glad I could help! I like XR400's but they might be a bit underpowered for you if you're used to more grunt http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-XR400R-DEPOSIT-NOW...

Today's obsession is one of these

Who's the lucky bugger that picked a mint one up a few weeks back? Think it was one of the northerners..
It was gay boy.

A Monster 821. Had a couple of hours on one today, and I want one. Some much fun, sound fking awesome for a stock pipe and in any gear, at any speed, open the throttle and off it shoots biggrin

An 821 (or more likely, a 1200S lick) has gone on the "must own" list, maybe in a couple of years time. I really test rode it to see if a V-twin engine was for me, and it confirmed my suspicions winkbiggrin

I've never really fancied a litre bike but this is an itch that must be scratched one day.

Best looking Japanese bike ever built?

That brings back memories, I spent months staring at that R1 photo as a young chap, then a test in bike written by nail McKenzie tipped me over the edge..... probably my favourite / bike I look back on with the most nostalgia of all I have owned over the years. A great first litre bike.

Current obsessions, can I get over those cheapo led lights on the new R1 - a good 30 minute double check per day says no so far.....

obsession no.2 do I really want to use a 1299s for my daily commute ? And can I justify 21k for it.... gear change on handlebars is pretty cool after all !!!!

I know I'll end up just chopping in for a new s1000rr given the cost and my unexplainable desire for semi-active suspension (despite never yet trying it).

Thanks LiamB, I'm now obsessing about DRZ400SM's today

But someone else here mentioned XT660's too

Hmmmmm

hmmm indeed
Got a blue one with the gold wheels, totally inappropriate impulse buy (traded in a scooter, rode home in a suit with a briefcase tied to the back). Reliable (so far), cheap enough to park outside and not worry about, starts first time even after weeks covered in snow. Range not great (barely 200km to a tank) but it's great fun. Lots of relatively easy modding can be done. Sounds nice. Tail tidy helps with looks. Will grind footpegs on track if given appropriate encouragement.

Go for it!

Just lovely, can't think of any other bike apart from that and the Norton Domiracer that I would have in my front room smile

Todays obsession, back to R6's.. can you get on track with an A2 restricted licence?

Id love the Norton race bike from the IOM TT but thats not road legal. Personally, there isnt much out there that exites me. Everything is so digital these days. I like raw power with out the rider aids (yes, I know the rider aids are good for you)

This is my beastie. 183rwhp wink

Yep no problems with A2 on track. First time licence was checked but nothing mentioned, 2nd time licence wasn't even looked at or mentioned.

Spotted this at mudeford in the summer.

Wanted it immediately. Some nice mods made it look the part.
