Quite apt someone was questioning "what has MAG ever done for us?"; time for them to mobilise the troops again:

It only comes into effect in 2020 by which time the newest bike affected will be 13 years old. So I doubt that many will be commuting all the way to Central London on a 13 to 15 year old bike surely ?

Oh and another thing let them keep their sthole city anyway. Irrespective of the age of bike I for one wont be riding in to the centre anytime soon.

Given the amount of bikes I see about that are older than 13 years, I'd say quite a lot will be affected.

I'd be up for a go slow around Westminster/Mayfair/RBKC/City.

I filled the consultation questionnaire. Suggesting I support the idea for 4 wheeled stuff but not for motorcycles.
My main argument is that motorcycles represent a tiny % overall of vehicles used in central london. Charging a subset of these motorcycles £12.50 if they arn't euro3 isn't logical since removing them from the road if you don't want to pay will make negligible/no difference to pollution levels.

In any case my 2006 bike will be long gone by then, guessing I'm unlikely to be in london then either. lol
