I'm not a fan of "filtering" or "lane splitting", or whatever else people want to call it.

The only positive side to what he's doing is in todays society he's likely to get the activity banned.
What don't you like about filtering? Why would you want it banned? What a stupid thing to say.
Because it encourages some motorcyclists (not all of us), to behave like complete bell ends, and when it goes tits up for them, they whinge, cry, and try to make innocent motorists lives a misery.

I'm not a biker so my opinion might not be worth much but what a pair of fktards, not only have we got filtering at stupid speeds we also have racing along a very busy slow moving motorway. Those two both need there pieces of st motorbikes taken off them and crushed. fk me I have seen some stupid things, (might even of done some stupid things) but those two take not only the piss but also the kidneys, bladder and urethra.

Can this video be fwd to the police somehow?

As you aren't posting from beyond the grave, I imagine, I can only say congratulations if you are still alive.

Though you probably ride more sensibly.

It isn't surprising, they obviously have riding skills and good reactions, they do however rely on a lot of good fortune and much more on other peoples skill and observation than I would like to myself.

You could however understand a courts reaction to such risk taking if they are ever caught riding in that manner, I'd imagine they'd be catching the bus for a while.

You'd rather sit in traffic, like you were a car? I don't have to filter often, one of the benefits of living up North, but when I do it's much preferable to sitting in a traffic jam.

When I see bike videos from California and everyone is sitting in a queue when they could just filter on through, it just looks like utter madness to me.

I've done both, depends on my mood really, and how long the traffic is stood still, if the traffic is moving, even slowly, then I don't.

I wouldn't even say they have skills. They aren't showing anything other than your average rider?

They might have the best reactions in the world but at that speed "margin for error" is reduced by a massive percentage and the "probability" of walking away from a side swiping at 100mph filtering is not a healthy one.

They are riding like selfish tts.

I ride like a tt, but I make sure if I hurt anyone, it's only going to be me and my pride. It's why I get up at 4am on a Sunday during the summer to go out with mates so that we can ride like tts whilst the majority of old people sleep in there warm piss.

exactly ...and "filtering" occurs generally when the traffic has stopped or is slow moving, otherwise its just plain old "overtaking" and all the usual rules of the road apply

Other than risking their (and others) lives, these guys are risking their licence or a short spell in prison for DD ...surely a trackday makes more sense ...but I guess they wouldn't look so fast then surrounded by others doing the same thing.....

I was being sarky... .
To a certain extent the skill and observation of other road users is less important the faster the bikers travel, as you know. however it does mean if they have a 'coming together' it could get a bit more sticky for the bikers.

I imagine that would very likely be the case.

Please do us a favour and pass their names to the law. They might like bikes but doing that means we all get st on because of the lowest common denominator.

I like going fast as much as the next guy, but there is a time and place for it. If they can't differentiate the two it is best they are not on the roads all together.

To be honest anyone finding this "cool" and "awesome" deserves sterilisation.

Also to whoever said that filtering encourages reckless behaviour. Why not trade in the bike and get a car?
