Sod buying brand new boots unless you're a bit of a ponce and can't do secondhand gear.

A mate of mine bought a pair of goretex daytonas on ebay for £90 I believe. I think they had a couple of marks but otherwise looked fantastic.

In fact it has made me keep an eye out despite the fact I don't NEED new boots.
Great if you have a foot fetish. Not so great if you don't like the smell of other peoples feet.

I don't tend to sniff my boots if I'm honest but if you're seriously worried about that pop them in the freezer in a bag.

It kills the bacteria and hey presto no smell.

Surely these can be found cheaper, I have had mine 8 months (acquired mine for free, after they were 4 months old) . Used them in all weather every day over the last 8 months, and not once have I had wet/cold feet, also taken a nice side impact from a van and still look decent, less minor scuffing.

Highly rate them myself, compared to my previous Hein Gericke gortex boots.
