http://www.motocard.com/

Looking for some Dainese stuff and these guys look unbeatable for price. Downside is they are not in the UK, in fact they appear to be in Andorra.

Anyone ever bought from them before? Any issues? Am I going to be stung for some sort of import tax since Andorra is not in the EU?

I haven't but I noticed a lot of the reviews are from UK purchasers.

Yes, just received some Shoei cheek pads and some Motul helmet cleaner (basically to make it up to enough to qualify for free postage). Everything was perfect and as described, just took a while (was perhaps as long as 2 weeks).

Very happy, just don't order anything you need in a hurry!

Also handy that they accept Paypal given I have a surplus of Paypal credit...

Not ordered yet but considered ....some of the UK suppliers will price match now though, rather than lose a sale abroad. Uk is easier for free returns if it dont fit

try the usual motolegends, sportsbikeshop, from memory will price match

I ordered some Rukka kit a few weeks back. All arrived without any problems, although as a previous poster said don't use if you are in a huge hurry. "Delivery within 48 hours" actually means "delivery within 10 days" based on my experience. Good prices and good service though, other than the delivery times.

I ordered my Shoei GT Air from them, took 10 days but was £70 cheaper than anywhere in the UK and got a free set of Oakleys, all good.

Funnily enough the first ad on google when searching for motocard is a pricematch ad from motolegends. The link goes nowhere though and when I contacted them they said they wouldn't because they were outside the EU. Hence my Qs about import charges.

Looks like sportsbikeshop exclude all but UK retailers. Id prefer UK items but the motocard deal is a significant saving (or at least appears to be at this stage). Not worried about having to wait a few weeks for it.

I had zero import charges on quite a sizeable order. Not sure if I was lucky or if that is the norm. I hadn't even considered import charges as I just assumed that they were based in Spain.

I ordered Alpinestars leather jacket and trousers off them a few months back with no issues.
Double check your sizes though, I messed up on the uk vs eu sizing and had to pay return postage to exchange.

My mistake though, I considered it a stupidity tax and moved on!

The stuff I ordered appeared to have come from Spain

Don't seem that cheap for helmets tbh. Gt air is more than list at my ,ocal shoei dealer, an I got another 60 quid off mine.

Same for fx v4, 270 quid in my local mx shop

Don't forget that with certain manufacturers you will have to go back to motocard for any warranty issues which could mean long waits if anything goes wrong.

Alpinestars are the only ones I know where you would be able to take any faulty kit to any authorised dealer in the world.

A lot of UK helmets that have been tested don't come with a sticker now either.
