Anyway, it was great to see Loon and Jazoli again and also Paul who I'd not seen for a couple of years.

I'm still a Northern meanie, I just figured it's the season of goodwill. At any other point in the year, I would've skinned them and worn their heads as hats.

Have to say that despite them being kitted out in all the right gear, they had definitely bitten off more than they could chew. They'd covered around 14 miles in the 8 hours that they'd been walking that day and had another 12 to go. As it was 3:30 and going dark and the next bit of civilisation was their aspirational destination, I figured it'd be a good idea to save their lives as they would've frozen to death out there overnight.
