Happy days, will have a look at some YouTube vids. Don't fancy warping my new brakes like I did at Cadwell park... That turned into an expensive day.

In fast group? Itl be weird I've never done a track day where I know anyone. I usually just sit in the corner of Matt's garage eating bananas and flapjack weirdly.
No not ready for fast group yet, inters for me as I'm still on L plates.

I'm happy that it only takes 50 minutes for me to drive to Croft, everywhere else is at least several hours so I'm happy to put up with a bumpy flat track, I must have spectated there at least 50 times so it will be nice to experience it from the other side of the fence.

you shouldn't be warping them on a road bike, everyone of my track days have been done on road bikes.

what a fking shock when I stripped the Daytona of its pointless plastic and lights, it shed more weight than I can st out coming off co-cadmol

That's what I thought, I'm not the lightest of lads but even still.
Had to get new discs on the front afterwards.

The bike was standard apart from slightly upgraded front pads (ferrodo I think) I put the bike in storage straight after, got it out with a warped disc.
Anyway don't want to thread hijac, will be looking to book once I've got work off.

Unfortunately i'm out. I start a new job at the start of April, and have 4 weeks of training, so no holidays in April. I'm HOPING that i can convince them to let me skive off for the last 2 or 3 days of the month to go to Aragon and Valencia, so i feel asking for another day off would be too much.

Here's a video of my first time there:

I never got round to putting my second visit there online, managed to get down to a 1.27 and beat BN's mate greg, who wasnt best pleased biggrin

I'll find out later in the week if I can go, think prolapse will be coming with me.

I'd book now but don't know if no limits give you credit or allow you to cancel and refund.

I'll try and get on this if there's any spaces left next month. I'm racing at Oulton in April so need to get some track days in there, I just need to make sure this doesn't clash with any.

I'm yet to do a track day but one thing that I have read is about helmets and 'ACU Gold' stickers.
Is this something that No Limits check?

I've only done three but never had my helmet checked over. I always wash it in the morning to avoid any embarrassment tho just in case.

nope, I crashed and everything at my no limits day with a bell one and they never even cared.

they did however make me do start jumps and squats to which I squirmed at to hide my pain and was allowed back out.

Graeme, don't worry about ACU stickers, that is a scrutineered racing requirement. No track day company does "scrutineering" ,of your bike or your kit - however they exercise their own prerogatives and a "duty of care " to make sure you go out on what appears to be both a machine and appropriate kit in satisfactory condition for the job in hand : ie kit that fits and is either one piece or ziptogether two-piece protectives, boots with soles intact and helmets and gloves which are intact and fasten properly. Machines which appear to be "healthy" so as not to endanger you or anyone else on circuit with you , so no shagged tyres, leaking fluids, body panels and fittings loose and flapping etc. Basically, all the common sense items which anyone with any self respect would turn up with and take care of anyway - but i am sure we have all seen some sights you would not beleive in "pit lanes" with people either oblivious or wantonly careless as to the state of their "kit" - they get to turn around and either go and sort it out or go home.

PS. Done half a day at Croft years ago , didn't particularly like it then , wasn't in a hurry back - but shall book it to join the party and have a laugh....!

Booked in fast. Bought a Ticket To Ride again as likely to be a man of leisure for the first half of the year.

Your choice - won't stop you getting out ( unless ridiculously oversquare )but bit of a false economy / waste of time , as its no fun trying to ride a (decent) lap on a tyre with a cliff edge on it !
