Hey John, I think your thumbsnap account is on the blink. I'm just getting a picture of a one of those bikes that we "dare not speak it's name".
I might pop down to watch if I get time. Nightshift Monday so free day. The bike bug is strong this year. Don't know when I can get another but I might try soon.

Bike looking good .
You coming having some dinner and beer Sunday night John ? I'm sure we can fill it with a couple of bits 'n bobs if you haven't got it sorted before - I'm guessing "oh well" doesn't mean "that's that then ..?" Weather looks good for it and will be good to see you out. Found those pads too- looking v. thin but still pull you up pretty damned well , as you know ...
I'll not have time on Sunday Graeme, I have to go and pick the van up at Aky's with our bikes in because he will be heading home after a weekend of racing. You coming having some dinner and beer Sunday night John ? Thing is it looks like a Honda but it isn't. Its a Hernda as they say in Ashington.
I'll just leave this here.

Yep if it's nice I'll see if I can get down for a couple of hours.
I've had some brake lines fitted, they are supposed to be race style (one line from master cylinder to each caliper) but they have been installed like the standard ones - one line to caliper then over wheel to other caliper.
I'm assuming that there will be no negative effects of this? I'll get them swapped around at some point just don't want to be faffing with them with Croft on Monday.

They will be fine but if they aren't what you asked for then get them changed after the day.I'm assuming that there will be no negative effects of this? I'll get them swapped around at some point just don't want to be faffing with them with Croft on Monday.
Besides, you look pretty handy with that back brake!

To be fair I didn't specify that they were race style I just assumed he would know.Besides, you look pretty handy with that back brake!
He did knock up some spacers for my rearsets though, the standard design was binding on the rear brake lever when the peg was tightened right up, so he machined up some top hat spacers for me now they're spot on. Can't complain at that service!

On a performance basis, you will not notice any difference between brake line layouts if the system is bled properly.
The 'race' layout is basically a regulation thing for race bikes in you must have two seperate lines rather than one to the caliper and either a t-piece to the other caliper or an up and over from one caliper to the other, it's a safety regulation.
If they perform well (which they will) then leave them as they are.

Yeah the rear brake is spot on now, I didn't even ask him to sort it.
The bike is ok after oulton, forks were slightly twisted in yokes but he's squared everything up so good to go.
