I still can't decide where my shakedown is going to be.

I'm not liking this cold weather too much, and the thought of the new bike out for the first time on cold tyres frightens me a bit
Come on you know you want to
I will be in serious poo with my lovely wife if I turn up that weekend
If you're lucky you might be if you stay at home too

It's actually above freezing this morning. I barely had to de-ice the taxi. If it keeps this up then I'm coming.

My only concern is my bike being covered in salt and st all the way down. Yazza messaged me to say put a cover over it. Has anyone done this on a trailer. Or will it

A) rip my cover to fk
B) fly off
C) do nothing
Or
D) the first decent wind will send my car paragliding across the m6
I'd have thought that as long as you tie it all down properly so it's not just a big parachute you'll be ok
i'll see, if its salty up here, then no. I'm not making a 500 mile round trip for a February day out on track plus my bike covered all in salt and st.

But you're happy to ride a bike that has got twigs and leaves stuck to the paintwork

It's bound to be salty, it's February! Just give your bike a wash when you get home and it'll be fine.

I wouldn't have thought a normal cover would help much, the salt and spray will be coming from underneath.

Or today. It's amazing weather here, although a bit brisk
It certainly is! Definitely cold though like you say. Only a couple of miles down the road in Winsford.

I've not got a road bike no, I've bought a cheap trackbike to join in the fun this year, I will stick an mot on it and use it for the occasional meet, no plans to get a road bike really, hardly ever used the last one.

How's the 3 delights of Winsford shopping centre ?

The woman driving round in a mobility scooter covered in Elvis stickers blasting out his songs.
The Tranny that walks around with a phone glued to his / her ear but never talking.
Or the woman that pushes a pram with dolls in it.

I miss nipping to Asda in my lunch hour laugh

If I popped along on the road bike to watch a bit of this will the suspension gurus there set up my suspension for my lard arse? And if they do any ideas how much they charge.

Between 20-40 quid I think. When they had a fiddle with mine I'm sure they only took 20 quid off me but they didn't get very involved. Only set up static sag which was miles out as a starter for 10.

What they can do is very limited as you need to ride the bike and see if it's better or worse after they have a fiddle. The only way you can do that is by riding it and then talking to them. I'm sure they'll have a basic fiddle but not much more. It won't be much though, like Yazzas says.
