I'm going half way through race week to get the 600s and sidecars followed by the Senior. Thursday is good to tour around and then Sat and Sun has the racing in the south of the Island.
easier to get the ferries / accomodation as well in case you miss the initial rush to book.

Could be interesting if they have to carry today and tonight's sailings then try and catch up!

You are roaming, and IOM is not EU so the recent legislation to keep prices down doesn't apply. Even making and receiving calls will be expensive.

Buy a local PAYG sim and just tell important people you have a new number for your visit.
I got EE to honour the 100mb for £2 for another 24 hours, to be honest I'm not going to bother, I'm just using hotel WiFi to upload and send photos.

I got a text from EE saying my texts and minutes can be used over here for no extra charge..

Crap weather today, I'm gonna wrap up and walk up to Bray Hill or somewhere along that road to view if they do run this evening, should be mostly clear for the rest of the week smile

Never been to the TT so envious of you guys/girls going

is Steam-packet the only ferry option? i'm also confussed with how the booking works, i just put some dates in but only got a deposit price not the actual price how do you know what you'll end up paying.

Steam Packet operate all crossings to IOM as far as I know. You pay a deposit now and the remainder usually around February.

Well that's it bike packed and off late morning tomorrow or as soon as the rain stops. 320 miles to the ferry in the rain sounds like no fun . And this year it is on the big cruiser as a recent arm operation means no pressure on the wrist .. Should be a different line on the mountain then. Oh and a slow one ...

Vodafone covers IOM on EuroTraveller so £3 to use your existing data and minutes over there.

Booked my ferry for TT2016 last night, taking a good friend across for first visit.

One. More. Sleep
Chris, if you could only go over a for a few days, what period would you go for? I'm thinking of going next year, but can't go over for the whole week.
Friday morning of Practise week to Monday night of race week would be a good short period.

Always stay in Douglas

I'm travelling out on Friday morning and returning Tuesday morning and staying in Douglas. It's my first time over so it's reassuring to know it should be decent.

Booked for next year! It will be our first time going and I already can't wait. How much is the return ticket on the ferry for a bike and 2 passengers, as a ballpark figure? This deposit with no clue what the total cost will be is a little off-putting...

I've Stayed in a few places over the years, always wished I was in Douglas on the times I wasn't.

Personally I Wouldn't want to stay in Ramsey or Peel again, too far from the evening action for me.

Yeah different strokes for different folks
It's all good.
