Pretty much sums him up.
He wants to win and simply thinks that he cannot win on those bikes. You can just as easily get hurt or killed on a st slow bike as good fast one. So why try too hard on the st one either go home or get a better one.
Understand that he wants to win, but he's got a contract - did he not consider competitiveness before he signed it? Alonso in F1 is a good example and you don't see him walking off somewhere because his car won't enable him to win...

If the contract was so important or Milwaukee didn't want to release him then I'm sure there'd be more of a story. Milwaukee website say they released him so maybe they agree. Hes not the most likeable characters anyway this is no surprise. There's no gold trophy for being a development rider and there's very little money if any at the best of times. He does right in my view.

Can't help but feel sorry for Milwaukee, hopefully they get another rider for race seek seeing as they've already got their whole outfit over there. Perhaps Josh Brookes as others have pointed out. MD wants to win though and has the talent to, and the R1 just isn't competitive enough this year, so I can't really blame him.

You're taking the piss with Alonso? He's a stroppy sod who just expects a car to win. He couldn't develop the Ferrari and look at it now with Vettel. Remember the Hamilton vs Alonso ego battle of not long ago too.

The team got on the 2pm ferry, arrive 5pm and ready for practice at 6:20pm....

Something tells me Michael had this plan B organised 'just in case'

If there's one bloke willing to do anything to win it's MD. Thinking Guy's chances of winning just dropped considerably.

Thanks for that.

Wasnt awhere you could just turn up with a new team half way through practice week and race and no idea how they would get space for a race truck on a ferry at such short notice.

Suppose he is that big a name its not an issue.

They're bringing the bike over in just a van with a couple of blokes from the team who were setting it up at the terminal while they were waiting. Buildbase were working on the bike late last night to get it ready.

Josh has already said no because you need to prepare for the TT. Fair point I think.

A bike that's had little time to develop and is having teething trouble. What did he really expect ?

He should act like a grown up, take it on the chin and show some respect for the team who I'm sure had put a lot of time and money into getting a bike ready for him.

Dunlop's fastest lap last night on the R1 was 124.519mph average.

He just did 128.447 on his own Superstock BMW.

Says it all I think.

There is also a major issue with the bike where its sucking oil into the airbox. Both the Milwaukee and Mar Train bikes are doing it. He has apologised to the team and thanked them for what they've done.
Don't let any facts get in the way of an internet witch hunt whatever you do. biggrin

Put your own life on the line & what would you do????

Was driving through Douglas earlier and Dunlop was talking on manx TT radio. He mentioned his stocker is the only bike here and his superbike was due to arrive on the 6pm ferry.

Got back to Crosby and watched the practise. Dunlop looked like last year on the first lap out. Must have real confidence with the BMW as seemed quicker. Might be in my head but seemed it anyway. His times have proved it now by end of lap three. 4th quickest and the top three on superbikes.

Not a huge fan of him but got to tip your hat to him.

I thought Milwaukee specifically didn't want him at the TT (to concentrate his efforts on BSB).

Fair play to MD I say.
