I'm not really into bikes anymore, although still have find memories of my RD250/350/400/500 days. I still love to watch the TT though and yesterdays Senior was terrific. I can imagine it must be great to be a part of such a great event and long may it continue.

The TV coverage of the Senior was very good.

The top riders really do push hard and the modern machinery and tyres allow them to. McGuinness smoothly backing it in to bends was very impressive.

It was good.

In fact all of it is good, however having done a 5 hour session of catching up on the week in one hit yesterday, I have one bone to pick with it (not read all the thread so may have been mentioned already).

Why did they show Hutchys 11th win, before they showed his 10th win? Worse than that they told us before they showed the 10th win, that he had won by mentioning him going for his 11th win, and the fact he has won the earlier race. Spoiled the supersport coverage.

In all seriousness, get over for the Classic (MGP) if you can. It's a totally different, laid back vibe with machines from all eras ridden by the same riders as the TT. It's about the bikes and history of the event than the riders themselves and arguably a more enjoyable event. Serious racing though on machines that shouldn't go that fast!

Everest phoned, they were a man down on a fitting crew so he had to nip back and give a hand

Excellent stuff.

He could have cleaned up his fuel tank a bit, though.

Got back early this morning from what was my 30th TT

Fantastic speeds achieved right thru the field, the depth of talent is higher
now than at any time I can remember.
Some people I know don't get the TT and it's time trial format but it really is an amazing
spectacle imho

The TT is capable giving huge highs and lows.
I have worked in the paddock in the past and everyone gets that feeling during a red flag situation.
Where is the incident ? Would your rider be in that area of the course etc? The interminable wait for
information.
Jamie Hamiltons crash brought that all home to me
I witnessed the accident,Ivan Linton running around a minute behind Jamie on the road came upon the
scene of what can only be described as a bombsite to find a friend of his laying stricken in the road.
He stopped and the look of utter desperation on the face of a man who two hours earlier had probably
the proudest moment of his life as he stood on the top step of the podium summed up the extremes the
TT can give

I still can't believe after all the popularity of the TT we are still struggling for Marshals.

We were desperate for Marshals where we were. frown
