Are we really having another chat about tyres? Nobody on here is good enough to outride any sports tyre and few could outride a sports touring tyre.
I think it was Kevin Schwantz who reckoned if he'd had one set of modern sports touring tyres for a whole season back when he was racing 500s, then he'd have won every race. That was at least 5 years ago as well and tyres have only got better.
Stop flapping and just ride.
... says the guy who runs supercorsas on the road! I think it was Kevin Schwantz who reckoned if he'd had one set of modern sports touring tyres for a whole season back when he was racing 500s, then he'd have won every race. That was at least 5 years ago as well and tyres have only got better.

It's true though all tyres are better than all of us.
Of course ... But tyres do feel different and that was my point. They could grip the same in all conditions but one might feel more confident aspiring... It's confidence and trust in the tyre that us mere mortals want...

I'm not sure. McKeann has had something to say about that and I've overtaken you a few times on the road, so the Awesome Crown is passing.
I don't recall you ever overtaking him when he was on a similar bike to you Passing someone on a super tenere when you're riding a hp4 doesn't count.....
And re the tyres, any sports touring stuff like pr4 and the like will be a million times better than getting caught in the rain on supercorsas, because it does rain occasionally in the UK, and they won't be lacking in feel either.
