Whats all this about then.

Couple of things strike me,

1) its a bit gimmicky but might be cool to pretend you are Tron
2) its priced pretty decently

Has anyone seen one in the flesh or have one?

Two in the front as well. Which i believe can be made to flash.

Not sure how bright they are.

I'm a Shoei-head type but I could easily swap with Shark if needed. They fit as well for me.

I was of the opinion every little helps.

I bought and promptly sold a Shoei GT Air as i couldn't stand the internal visor.

depends on model, I have 2 Shark helmets and would say more oval fit. Then tried a Speed-R and it was different

I guess they try to cater for both with different models so you need to try on to be sure

The majority of sharks current range is more round. They are too short front to back and too wide side to side for me. The only exception is the S900 which fits me quite well.

I've never had a problem with internal sun visors and haven't had any customers complaining about being able to see through them properly either.

As for the skwal, we should be getting some in over the next few weeks. Personally I think it's a bit of gimmick like pump up cheek pads.

if you ride the urban sprawl and commute I can see how one of these could be useful.

A good innovation as far as I am concerned. smile

That's disappointing as I currently have an S900 and was planning on ordering one of their new models.
Guess I'll have to go and try a few on now, was just going to order online so it's a good job you said.

Agree, beginning to see more M'bikers around london wearing LEDs, I guess there's beginning to be cross over from cycling.

I will say that some of the flashing LEDs on cycles are very annoying especially when they seem to be aimed up, but they do get the bike seen, so I guess they do their job.

It's just a case of trying them on and working out which you prefer. You may find that certain models fit better than your current helmet.

Contrary to popular belief a lot of brands don't use the same shape across their range. Having had some (a lot) of time to try helmets on it's surprising how different they can be.

The rep brought some of these in today.

The lights are reasonably bright and are definitely noticable in the dark. Up to 8 hours flashing and charge with a micro usb.

Isn't it legally mandated the colour of lights facing forward and rearwards??

I thought of this but white light at the front and red at the rear are allowed, its the colour of your sidelights after all.

I'm strangely inclined to sat its light emitted from the vehicle that is controlled, does light emitted from the rider count for this?

Helmet tech seems to move on at a snail's pace.
