No real surprise, she hasn't been competitive throughout her BSB career(admittedly on a relatively basic bike) and IMO has done nothing to deserve her current ride...she's only there to serve as a marketing exercise, we all know that. I did have to laugh when someone commented in another thread(or possibly earlier in this one) that they expected her to regularly be finishing top 6...

Err, didn't she qualify about 17th at brands in the rain last year on her private bike when she'd got some set up help from Pagetts?
She was amazing on it that quali.

Whilst she's on a factory official Honda, are these bikes identical ? I know in most other teams, there is often a bike that one rider has that isn't 'quite' as factory as the others. And Honda are pretty well known to develop parts in Japan, filter a few bits out to top riders in the odd wsb or Bsb team, then, after they've won Suzuka, suddenly the whole world gets the same bits and everyone is on the pace again.

Give the girl a break, let her find her feet in the new team on the new bike, (new team which want even there last year), wait till after Suzuka and see what happens. It's possible the gap to Linfoot etc may increase, if he gets new bits and she doesn't. But if he has them already, and she gets them, then she may close up.

And I'm really up for more girls riding and racing bikes at all levels.

Even in the dry she seems to be slower on this bike than she was on last year's at this round.

Bit gutted with my weekends so far time wise, but chuffed with what the team are teaching me, learning all the time, long term plan and for now it's going slower to learn and then go faster when it all becomes second nature ........... Can't wait for warm up to get back out there and keep practising what I'm learning so it becomes second nature quickly.

Plenty of other riders in the support paddock would be though...

That's the same reason I'm slow. I'm fast really but I choose to go slower.

Nobody has said anything of the sort so this is a non starter.

Ever tried something new? Sometimes you go backwards to go forwards

BSB is getting coverage on the NW news for the first time ever AFAIK. it's a story about Jenny Tinmouth, whilst pushing* the Oulton round as well.

There's no way it'd get that coverage if it wasn't for her having a ride.

* I almost wrote ",but plugging the Oulton round". That had too many Finbar Saunders undertones though hehe
