Someone else mentioned the late, great Fred Dibnah and put Guy alongside him. I couldn't agree more. He reminds me of Fred every time I see him. Both eccentric and truly passionate about things. That passion is contagious and Guy passes it along very well.

I've never seen him race but admire anybody that can do the TT course as well as him, I've ridden it a couple of times and scared myself silly trying to be a hero and he would have passed me in second gear. It takes skill and huge balls to race on the road courses - lots of things to hit that can do you a lot or proper harm, circuits are much safer.

I say: More Guy on the telly, in fact, as much as he can stand doing, I'll watch.

exactly ...how many armchair riding experts do we have on here that are faster ? .....if I was 75% as quick as Guy Martin is on the roads I would be well chuffed smile
If I was 50% as fast I'd be friggin' chuffed.

Will do, thanks, will drop you a line nearer the time. We're staying in Glen Mona but plan to watch from all around the circuit.
