Since it has only done 11k miles since 2000, i wonder if the carbs will be needing cleaned out? For such low mileage it must have sat for months at a time.

Should i assume it needs done, or just leave it if it runs well?

This might just be me but I'd be more concerned with more routine servicing like balancing carbs and checking clearances if it's running rough.

Also save your money for a manual cam chain tensioner, downpipes, and voltage regulator.
