Had my 1st ride out with someone else on Sunday,Can I say that it is a good bit better fun with someone else.
Also helped that the other bike was something I would have coveted but now know it would not suit my needs at all frown

Only passed my test 2 months ago and now I can say I have had a go on one of the quickest bikes you can buy.
I am just to old to get used to the ball aching ride on rough roadsand The focus needed non stop to stop yourself from a ban.
Yes my fazer is a starter bike but when I do upgrade for the summer I know I can discount the R1

Dont discount your fazer as a "starter" bike. They are very good, very capable and apply to all sorts of riders. You're doing yourself a diservice thinking that way!

You might feel differently about superbike thou's in a few years time when you've got more miles and more experieince underneath you

+1 They are not a starter bike, a cg125 is a starter bike, a Fazer is a proper 600cc 4 cylinder motorcycle, they are a brilliant all round bike, I bought one to commute to work on/take the missus out/tour Spain on and it was great, I hardly ever rode my 1000cc sports bike as the Fazer was just so bloody good at what it did.

When I say 'starter' bike I mean my first big bike smile
Today I am sitting at home now after hitting ice as I drove into the work site, Did not drop the bike but put the foot down and did the splits trying to keep it upfrown
Bike is sitting in work and I am sitting at home looking outside thinking that its not a bad day for a ride lol

New stainless viper end can put on the fazer yesterday as well But in the summer I am thinking I like the look of a MT09.

If you like the riding position of your 600 have you considered the Fazer 1000? It's a great bike and it has most of the power of your mates with all the creature comforts.

The fazer is perfect position so the fz1 is a real good shout. Roll on the summer when I start looking properly.
I know I can take my time and ride a few bikes to see what is perfect for me when I am ready to buy.
But will not be a supersport with the racing style seating position,43 now and back is not as supple as it used to be smile
