That's at Snetterton, which me and a few others are already booked on. The 30/31 is Oulton, but it's sold out apart from Novice so a no go
Yeah but some tart on a BMW is there. That joanne f benz that Graeme and 13aines on here stalk on Facebook. So worth a novice place surely.

Have fun John! Silverstone in the baking heat is a rare and nice place to experience.

Might pop along tomorrow afternoon if I finish work early and see if the Silverstone Gestapo let me in on my old sheddy R1. I assume the event is being held / run from the new 'Wing' facility as it's all new and corporatey?

Then you're likely to be disappointed. This will sell out in the next week. Summer TDs over the weekend when the weather is forecast to be OK sell quickly. It'll go when payday kicks in for those paid monthly.

So a bit of a report from me.

Did Donington GP on Tuesday, followed by Castle Combe on the Wednesday. Knackering, but good fun none the less.

First time at Donington.. wow, what a track! Really fast and flowing. Was able to link the corners together and get decent power through and out of them. Also this was my second only trackday using the bike, and I can feel myself beginning to gel with it. I booked myself into novice, as I didn't know what to expect. But I was noticeably quicker than anyone else and putting in consistent 1:53/54 laps (I wasn't timing, some chap I got talking to decided to). So I think it'll have to be inters or fast next time. PB was a 1:52 which pleased me greatly smile The day was with No Limits, and having only ever ridden Castle Combe and Pembrey before, neither of which were run by them, I've got to say I was really impressed with their organisation, briefings, and the general running of the day.

A couple of pics:

So after driving back and dropping my mate and his bike off in Newbury I returned home for some sleep. Rose early and got myself to Combe nice and early hoping to maximise track time and get out as quick as possible. Last time I was there I made a few mistakes more than once which caused a tankslapper and an excursion onto the grass once, and nearly caused a highside another. I thought it best to try iron these out, hence the trackday. I met a guy on an S1000RR and we spent most of the day chasing each other and found ourselves pretty evenly matched. Managed a PB of 1:21 which would see me getting podium finishes in one of the classes I race in. Hopefully this will ring true next season. Sadly after lunch, the sessions were constantly getting red flagged, mainly due to the same couple of bikes breaking down, and their mates stopping on track to have a chat. Silly. There were a few highsides and crashes though, a new R1 was looking pretty messed up, sad to see, although the rider was fine and walked it off. Either way I was tired, and headed home by 3pm.

Next stop, Rockingham on 12th of August biggrin
