you come from Scotland, 7-10 degrees is a decent day at knockhill.
If in doubt don't use tyre warmers.
You'd be fine on wets if it was say 2 or 3
From the man who whinges the most about the cold! If in doubt don't use tyre warmers.

Don't have tyre warmers (yet), so that isn't a problem. Just waiting on confirmation that I can take Monday off then will book up.
I am the only cold blooded Scotsman, I sleep with an electric blanket on all night normally on scalding setting. If its good enough for my tyres its good enough for me.

you should have seen me at Anglesey, sat at the BBQ. One of loons pals even went and got me a rug from the car. The other half was man enough to refuse one.

Looking like a cool 7-10 degrees for croft. Hopefully it stays dry though
With temperatures of 7-10 degrees at Croft and say it's bone dry, would you still run dry tyres (like SC?) Or would a novice rider like myself be better off with wets as wouldn't work the SCs hard enough?I run Road ones by mistake in purchase I should say. Yes they warm up quickly but I have to drop mines a good few psi so if you go out on them cold it takes a lap or two just to feel Un wooden again.
Top tip. Never take your tyre warmers off with gloves on. I had this at Anglesey. Someone tripped the socket. Never told me and I went out with stone cold tyres.
It was ok as I instantly felt they were wrong. But if your running close to Road pressures at novice level it could catch you out.
I'll never forget asking BN at Knockhill what pressure I should be running my rear he said about 27 for the rear I then asked niall mackenzie who told me Road pressures.
I weighed it up. Some guy I've jjust met off a forum or a ex moto gp riding god.
After the morning I came in complaining saying it felt so stiff. It felt like high-side city. I asked BN for a tyre gauge and took a reading next to niall having just came in.
50 psi in the rear. everyone Said holly fk even niall wondering how I hadn't binned it.
Needless to say the super bike school he taught was st.
I'll always remember ignoring BN thinking. Well this is BN but this is niall mackenzie who are you going to listen to.

A few spaces came available but is sold out again now.
Ah bugger! Just been on the site and the "loading rider details" keeps spinning. Will try phoning if I can get the day off just to check. fergus said:
Run the SCs. You will destroy wet tyres in the dry, even riding fairly gently. Without tyre warmers, just take it easy for the first 2-3 laps and you'll be fine. Are they road or track supercorsas? If they're the road variety (SP rather than SC), these will be no problem at all, as they're designed to not require a lot of warming up.
