So what's the consensus , ride to track and ride home ( hopefully) or rent a van ?

At a trackday (the few that i have attended) it looks like a van/trailer is more used than the riding in method.
My brother did about 5 or 6 last year and rode to and from each one with no problems or incidents.

On a road legal bike then you may as well ride there, especially as you won't be pushing too hard in novice.

I use a van because my bike isn't road legal and I've got a load of stuff to take too.

I used to have a van . As the r7 ran slicks I'd take tyre warmers etc etc
But fancy a ride down just concerned about how tired I'll be afterwards and the hassle and expense of renting a van and all that buggery now that I have no van . However I like the idea of taking a nice chair , coffee , some lunch , an iPad , pipe , slippers and especially Jaffa cakes etc

I agree , just not sure how bike fit I am . I'm pretty fit tbh but bike fit is different . I put myself in novice to start with because I've been away fro tds for 4 years , I think I may have answered my own question whith the tiredness thing ?probably not worth the risk

I only got my trailer so I could go further afield for trackdays, though even iust to Knockhill (about 45 minutes away) it was very convenient.

Once you've picked the hire van up, get a foldable ramp and it's so much easier. Being able to chuck loads of stuff in the back of a van is great, plus means you don't dread the long ride home when you might already be knackered from a day on track.

Thing is , I've still got my ramp , wheel chock , straps ,bar loops , chair , slippers , pipe , Jaffa cakes etc , just need to sort a van out

I think I will drive , I'm more and more concerned about being too tired to drive the couple of hours either way

I'm going to start a thread on this, but two sets of dates have just jumped out at me, both with No Limits.

Donington noisy weekend dates, both Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June at £185 per day. This couldn't be better, I think it's actually the dates set aside for the British MotoGP, that isn't happening at Donington anymore. No need for people to take time off work, two full days on one of the best tracks in the UK.

If you're gluttons for punishment, then one day of recovery on Monday 22nd then two more days on track at Oulton Park on Tues 23rd & Weds 24th for a discounted double date price of £279.

That's 5 falkirk discounted big Mac meals an hour!

I've got a big le mans trip and some more stuff to buy for the track bike in May so I'll join people on a couple in June

Call it "For Tax Avoidance ltd".

Is it not technically a business and not a company? I thought legislatively you would be classed as a sole trader.
