The fairings you made me buy.

Will the standard clocks still be able to fit there.

No. You will have to buy a Motec system

You have to take turns. I'll be out soon having another visit to the gravel/grass

Enjoy the year guys and be safe out there. I've called time on my track career, as it's just not clicking like it used to and the love has faded unfortunately.

Remember smooth is fast.

Did you get out on track at Donny today?

That's a shame you're calling it a day but no point trying to force it. Hopefully you'll feel the urge to get back into it after a lay off.

Sorry to hear that. I've always enjoyed your company on track days and it will be sorely missed.

I did two and a half sessions today. Didn't really love or hate the first two sessions, but was well off the pace for where I was last year. The third session wasn't going too well and then to top it all off, I got whacked hard by someone whilst I was cranked over in the fast left handers (Starkeys and Schwatz). Anyway after a bit of grasstracking at silly speeds I somehow survived it and after the same thing happened yesterday I decided enough is enough.

My head has completely gone and for those who play golf, it's like getting the "yips", or for darts players "dartitis". I simply can't approach a corner, or go round it without thinking I'm going to crash. As a result I'm coasting around the track, not attacking a corner, braking way too hard and going round them at walking pace, but totally tensed up and staring at the ground right in front of me. It really is bad, hence why I'm walking away. I know exactly what I'm doing wrong, but can't make myself do it right.

Generally how I ride after my off but everyone takes the piss.

Chin up mate. All is not lost, riding fast is not the be all and end all.

Shame Simon but if you don't enjoy it right now then there's no point. Hopefully I'll see you around Yorkshire keeping us all in check on the hp sauce. Enjoy the surplus money!

Loon, maybe a back to basics approach is what is needed ?
A dead basic CB500/ER6, something you can rag the fk out of .

Shame to hear Loon as it always seemed (from what I've read on here) you were pretty handy on track and loved it too.

Now its time to get onto an enduro or mx bike. Massive fun at much lower speeds although getting the bottle to jump is probably similar to bking upto a corner at 140+ hehe

Sadly, it's not as simple as which bike I'm riding, or which group I'm in. I can't face corners, as my head is telling me I'm going to crash. I know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't force myself to do it right.

I know it's banter and I deserve the abuse, but I am being honest about this weird headfk that's going on.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yips

I've got an MX bike and don't have a problem with jumping, I've always preferred both wheels off the ground, rather than wheelies. However, I've never been any good at that and don't have age on my time to be able to cope with it physically so that bike is going too.

Ah that's a shame and the sensation of being airborne is still alien and st scary to me! Wheelies are fun even if I'm st at them.

I was going to back your corner but now you're getting rid of them all I have to say you are a right fking fairy.

Seriously it is a shame but I hope you'll still have road bikes
